Singapore’s Mocha Chai Laboratories (MCL), a boutique content studio, is joining forces with Thai entertainment giant The One Enterprise to produce Decalcomania, a gripping, cross-border mystery thriller. Currently filming in both Singapore and Bangkok, this edge-of-your-seat series is bringing together a who’s who of Asian entertainment royalty — Screen by Mookda Narinrak (who plays both twins) and Hussawee Pakrapongpisan– both are recognized for their work in Thai entertainment; international favorite Pierre Png (Crazy Rich Asians), and Thai leading cast Pat Chayanit Chansangavej (Dalah), Chai Chatayodom Hiranyatithi (Master of the House) and Thaneth Warakulnukroh (Mad Unicorn) headline the cast. They’re joined by a new generation of rising stars including Gladys Ng, bringing fresh energy and breakout performances to the screen. Making a special guest appearance is veteran Singaporean actress Hong Hui Fang. The series is set to debut on Thailand’s TV Channels ONE31 and OneD application streaming worldwide in December 2025, with a local broadcast on Singapore’s National Broadcaster Mediacorp’s MeWATCH to follow.

THE HOOK:

What happens when two women — identical in appearance but worlds apart in life — suddenly wake up in each other’s bodies? Meet 26 year old Neungdeaw Ananthikun a hardened Bangkok nightclub owner with a haunted past, and Leia Woo, a glamorous Singapore socialite living under the protection of a powerful pharmaceutical tycoon. After a car accident, their souls are mysteriously swapped, and the secrets they’ve spent lifetimes burying begin to unravel. One must survive a world of high-society manipulation, while the other must navigate a criminal underworld she’s never known. And neither is prepared for what they discover.

BEHIND THE SCENES: A POWERHOUSE COLLABORATION

First conceived by Singaporean creator and director of Wonderland fame, Chai Yee Wei, with the pilot penned by screenwriter and co-creator Chance Wanlass in 2021, the project began its life at the Asian Television Forum (ATF) in Dec 2022. There, veteran Executive Producer Michelle Chang’s pitch to The ONE Enterprise, set the wheels in motion.

The partnership ignited a creative synergy, led by Thai Showrunner Nipon Pewnen and experienced writing team, headed by Wattana Weerayawattana (Thicha), who brought together development teams from both countries to shape a series made for Thai audiences but with regional and international appeal. “The opportunity to develop this story is truly exceptional. This compelling narrative about human
experience aims to transcend boundaries and leave a lasting impact on audiences worldwide. I am honoured to be part of bringing this visionary concept to fruition”, says Mr Pewnen. Ms Chang adds, “Everyone’s talking about co-productions these days, but making them truly work is no easy feat — it takes trust, flexibility, and a willingness to break away from traditional ways of doing things. That’s why finding a partner like The One Enterprise team, who not only respects the original vision but is also willing to double down and invest in it, has been nothing short of inspiring.
