Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy and Leadership

* Define and execute oneD’s overall QA and quality-engineering strategy.

* Establish quality standards, testing methodologies, release criteria, and governance across all platforms.

* Build, lead, coach, and develop internal and outsourced QA teams.

* Create clear accountability for product quality across QA, engineering, product, design, and external development partners.

* Represent quality risks and recommendations in product and release decisions.

End-to-End Platform Quality

* Oversee testing across:

* iOS and Android mobile and tablet applications

* Smart TV platforms and connected-TV devices

* Web applications

* Backend systems, APIs, CMS, authentication, payments, and advertising technology

* Video playback, DRM, subtitles, live streaming, VOD, and content delivery

* Ensure a consistent user experience across different operating systems, devices, screen sizes, network conditions, and application versions.

* Develop device-coverage and compatibility-testing strategies based on audience usage and business priorities.

Test Planning and Execution

* Own functional, integration, regression, performance, compatibility, usability, accessibility, and security-related testing.

* Ensure critical customer journeys are thoroughly tested, including:

* Registration and login

* Content discovery and search

* Video start-up and playback

* Live-stream access

* Subscription and payment

* Advertising delivery

* Continue Watching, watchlists, and viewing history

* Introduce risk-based testing to prioritize the most business-critical functions and user journeys.

* Establish structured defect-management, triage, escalation, and root-cause-analysis processes.

Automation and Quality Engineering

* Define and expand test automation across UI, API, backend, and device testing.

* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and release pipelines.

* Improve test coverage while reducing repetitive manual testing and regression time.

* Partner with engineers to promote testability, unit testing, integration testing, and early defect prevention.

* Evaluate testing tools, device labs, monitoring platforms, and external QA services.

Release and Production Quality

* Define release-readiness criteria and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.

* Monitor production quality using crash data, playback errors, customer feedback, operational incidents, and platform analytics.

* Lead quality reviews after major incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed.

* Identify recurring defects and work with engineering teams to eliminate their root causes.

* Maintain clear dashboards showing release quality, platform health, and outstanding risks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with Product, Engineering, UX/UI, Content Operations, Customer Service, Data, Marketing, and Commercial teams.

* Participate early in product discovery, requirements definition, solution design, and sprint planning.

* Ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are complete, measurable, and testable.

* Coordinate effectively with outsourced development and QA vendors.

* Translate customer complaints and operational issues into actionable quality improvements.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

* At least 8–12 years of experience in software QA, quality engineering, or software testing.

* At least 3–5 years of experience leading QA teams or managing a QA function.

* Strong experience testing consumer-facing applications across mobile, web, and connected devices.

* Experience with OTT, streaming, media, e-commerce, fintech, telecommunications, or another high-traffic digital platform is strongly preferred.

* Demonstrated experience building QA processes and automation frameworks.

* Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, cloud platforms, analytics, and production monitoring.

* Experience managing outsourced teams and technology vendors.

* Good command of written and spoken Thai and English.
