As a <\/span>QA Engineer at oneD<\/b>, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our multi-platform streaming ecosystem across <\/span>web, mobile, tablet, and smart TV<\/b>. You will work closely with product, engineering, UX, and operations teams to validate features, prevent regressions, and ensure seamless user experiences across AVOD, SVOD, and future digital services.<\/span><\/p>\n

This role is critical to maintaining <\/span>release confidence<\/b>, <\/span>platform consistency<\/b>, and <\/span>user trust<\/b>\u2014from core playback journeys to monetization, subscriptions, and data tracking.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/h2>\n

\ud83e\uddea Test Strategy & Quality Ownership<\/b><\/h3>\n

  • Define and execute <\/span>end-to-end QA strategies<\/b> covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across platforms.<\/span> <\/li>\n
  • Own quality gates for releases, ensuring features meet <\/span>product requirements, UX expectations, and technical standards<\/b>.<\/span> <\/li>\n
  • Translate product requirements and user stories into clear, comprehensive test cases and scenarios.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \ud83d\udcf1 Multi-Platform Testing (Web, Mobile, Smart TV)<\/b><\/h3>\n

    • Validate user journeys across <\/span>iOS, Android, Web, Tablet, and Smart TV<\/b> platforms.<\/span> <\/li>\n
    • Ensure consistent behavior across devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and playback environments.<\/span> <\/li>\n
    • Test critical flows including onboarding, login, playback, ads, subscriptions, and entitlement.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u2699\ufe0f Automation, Tooling & CI\/CD Quality Gates<\/b><\/h3>\n

      • Design, implement, and maintain <\/span>automated test suites<\/b> (UI, API, regression) to support fast and reliable releases.<\/span> <\/li>\n
      • Integrate automated testing into <\/span>CI\/CD pipelines<\/b> to reduce manual effort and catch issues early.<\/span> <\/li>\n
      • Collaborate with engineers to improve testability, coverage, and failure diagnostics.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Validate event tracking, analytics instrumentation, and data accuracy (e.g., GA4, CDP, A\/B testing).<\/span> <\/li>\n
        • Ensure correct data flows for <\/span>conversion, retention, engagement, and monetization<\/b> metrics.<\/span> <\/li>\n
        • Partner with data teams to detect data gaps, anomalies, and tracking regressions before release.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \ud83d\ude80 Release Management & Production Readiness<\/b><\/h3>\n

          • Support sprint execution by validating readiness for release and coordinating QA sign-off.<\/span> <\/li>\n
          • Perform <\/span>smoke tests, sanity checks, and post-release validation<\/b> in production environments.<\/span> <\/li>\n
          • Proactively identify risks related to performance, scalability, and edge cases.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            \ud83e\udd1d Cross-Functional Collaboration<\/b><\/h3>\n

            • Work closely with <\/span>product managers, designers, engineers, data, and operations<\/b> to ensure shared quality standards.<\/span> <\/li>\n
            • Provide clear, actionable feedback and defect reports with reproduction steps and impact assessment.<\/span> <\/li>\n
            • Contribute QA insights during planning to improve feature feasibility and reduce downstream issues.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Qualifications<\/b><\/h2>\n

              Must-Have<\/b><\/h3>\n

              • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.<\/span> <\/li>\n
              • 3\u20136 years of experience in <\/span>QA, software testing, or quality engineering<\/b> for digital products.<\/span> <\/li>\n
              • Hands-on experience testing <\/span>mobile apps, web applications, and\/or smart TV platforms<\/b>.<\/span> <\/li>\n
              • Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: test planning, test case design, defect lifecycle, and regression strategy.<\/span> <\/li>\n
              • Experience working in <\/span>Agile \/ Scrum<\/b> development environments.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Nice-to-Have<\/b><\/h3>\n

                • Experience in <\/span>OTT, AVOD\/SVOD, streaming media, or large-scale consumer apps<\/b>.<\/span> <\/li>\n
                • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium).<\/span> <\/li>\n
                • Familiarity with analytics and tracking validation (GA4, Firebase, Mixpanel).<\/span> <\/li>\n
                • Understanding of video playback, CDN behavior, DRM, ads, or subscription systems.<\/span> <\/li>\n
                • Experience collaborating with DevOps or using CI\/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
